This page will be updated with helpful links for students to use for practice at home. There are several websites that will help students further practice the skills we have learned in class.
IXL for Literacy
Students can practice specific topics and standards using the IXL website.
Learn Zillion has hundreds of videos and lessons online for students to use to review lessons learned in class. Students do not need to log in to this website. They can search a topic on the website such as "theme" and several lessons will show up for students to choose from.
Istation is an online literacy program used in school and also by Denver Public Schools for assessments. It is only used during school hours for assessment and practice.
Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is used school-wide. Students have the opportunity to choose level appropriate books from the classroom library. When they have finished their chapter book or have re-read their picture book several times, they may quiz on Accelerated Reader in class during school hours. Quizzes have 5-20 questions per book, depending on the length and level of the book. Students are expected to take at least one quiz per week in class.
